When Strait Shipping added a new vessel to the fleet in 2015, they gave us 10 days to make it look good.
The Strait Feronia is the newest and largest vessel in the Bluebridge fleet. The 186m long ship arrived in Wellington from it’s first home in Europe, and needed sprucing up ready for passengers. The first step was a thorough site-inspection, where we planned, photographed and measured the positions for all wayfinding and decorative signage. The designs were made, and we quickly moved into production. There were a number of major challenges with the project, from working around the myriad other contractors on board, to installing signs at 5:00am to allow time between test sailings. We employed a number of different products and materials, including vinyl wall graphics, wrapped palight signs, vinyl door and elevator graphics and high quality cast vinyl films for the vehicle deck wayfinding. This was a great project to be involved with, and we’re proud to have pulled it off.
