Frequently Asked Questions
Here you’ll find the answers to some of our most commonly asked questions.
For anything else, please contact us.
Many of our everyday products like business cards, posters, flyers, banners etc have a standard turnaround of 2-3 working days. Larger orders, or those that require specialist attention like fine art prints or canvases are approx 5-7 working days. Anything requiring manufacturing or off-site installation will vary depending on the complexity and our installers’ availability. More importantly though, when do you need it? In many cases we can make it happen. Do you reeeeeaaaallly need something done quickly? If you have a firm deadline for an event or product launch for example, we may be able to accomodate this by shuffling our schedule or providing a partial delivery to get you through. Just ask 🙂
For most items there is no minimum order quantity, eg; posters, banners, art prints etc. In some instances however, setup costs may make ordering a single copy impractical (eg; a single business card), so in this case we have a minimum of 100 cards (5 sheets). There is no maximum quantity on any of our products, but changing quantities could make other methods more or less practical, eg; we might switch from digital cutting to die-cutting.
Yes of course, we deliver right across NZ. We use a range of courier and freight services such as No-Car Cargo, NZ Couriers and Mainfreight. This allows us to deliver almost any item – big or small, quickly or economically – to pretty much anywhere in NZ (or internationally by prior arrangement).
Anybody from students and freelancers through to design agencies, small and large businesses, government departments and international brands.Â
For non account-holders we require payment on collection (or prior to dispatch). For account-holders we offer 20th of the following month terms. In-store payment options include cash, eftpos and credit. Remote payment options include direct bank transfer (preferred), credit card link, or credit card over the phone.
Our formal quotes are valid for 60 days from the date of issue. We are receiving constant price increases from our suppliers at the moment, so outside of formal quotes or supply agreements, our prices are subject to change without notice.
We’d love to take a look and see what we’re up against! Often when we see competitive quotes there are differences in production specs, and we may be able to offer a different rate if we change the specs accordingly.
We prefer PDF’s, but we can work with most common file types including .jpg, .tiff, .ai, .psd etc. Exact file requirements are job-specific, see file guidelines here or check out our resources page.
No, sorry. For basic document scanning you are best to visit a copy shop like Warehouse Stationery, or for high quality artwork scanning we recommend Z3D in Wellington.
Yes, we can print photocopies no problem, however we are production-focussed and do not offer on-the-spot copy services like Warehouse Stationery.Â
In many cases, yes. Any “basic” stock like a particular colour of paper or something is generally fine, but just give us some extra sheets to allow us to get the alignment and print settings working nicely. For something more outside the box like a piece of timber, please ask us about any specific limitations. We will always do our best, but we can’t take responsibility for mis-printed items on customer-supplied stocks.
Yes! All of our house papers are FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certified. We also offer 100% recycled options.Â
We sure do. This is a rapidly-evolving area for us as the technology and product selection continues to advance. Options include PVC-free adhesive vinyls, PVC-free banner materials, Katz Outdoor board (paper-based corflute alternative) and more.Â
Wherever possible, yes. Our standard products are packed in tissue paper & cardboard. Flat-packed items are packaged using up-cycled corflute sheets or corrugated card. Unfortunately some items require bubble wrap, so we use “eco” bubble wrap with a 30% recycled content. Got any hot tips? Let us know, we’re always keen to do better.
We use a range of different inks and toners for different print methods and substrates. These include Aqueous ink, Latex ink, Eco-Solvent ink, UV-Cured ink and Super EA-Eco Toner. Each ink has advantages, disadvantages and limitations. Please contact us if you have specific questions or requests for your work.
Yes! White ink allows for beautiful and effective printing on coloured or clear stocks. We can print white in either Eco-Solvent or UV-Cured inks for a wide range of wide format products. We also print with white toner with our Revoria digital press, for all small format items eg; business cards, brochures, & booklets.
Yes, our Revoria digital press can print with silver or gold metallic toner for all small format items eg; business cards, brochures and booklets. We can also produce custom metallic colours by layering CMYK over the silver layer. Note – this print method is not as bold / shiny / reflective as foiling – see below.
Yes, we offer digital foiling (sleeking) in-house, and hot-stamp foiling through our trade suppliers. Digital foiling allows for variable data such as guest names on invitations, and has very little setup cost and turnaround time compared to traditional hot-stamp foiling. It does however have some other limitations, and does not have quite the same luxury feel of hot-stamped foil. Contact us for more info.
